User manual

Powering on

Double-click the Start/Stop button to turn the device on. The ChalkBlaster will start at the most recently used speed level.

Selecting speed

The ChalkBlaster has four speed. Single-click while the device is ON to cycle through: Gear 1 → Gear 2 → Gear 3 (Repeat)

  • Gear 1: 30% Power
  • Gear 2: 50% Power
  • Gear 3: 70% Power

To access Gear 4: 100% Power, long-press the button. The LED light will show number of light respective to the speed you have selected.

See battery level

When the device is OFF, Single-click the button to display the remaining battery capacity for 5 sec.

  • 1 LED: less than 25%
  • 2 LED Between 25-50%
  • 3 LED Between 50-75%
  • 4 LED Over 75%
Charging the device

Connect a USB-C PD charger (5–20V) to the USB-C port.

  • LEDs will animate to indicate charging progress.
  • When fully charged, the LEDs will stay solid for 5 seconds and then turn off.

Charging times depend on your PD charger rating.

How to charge your phone

Use the ChalkBlaster as a powerbank. It will fast charge up to 20W.

  • Connect your phone or accessory to activate power-bank mode.
  • The LED will pulse slowly to indicate reverse power flow.
Brush Replacement

To replace the brush head. Rotate the brush head counterclockwise to remove.

To replace the bristles. Unscrew the screw on top of the brush and gently pull out the bristles. Insert a new replacement bristle and screw back again.

Please keep in mind that new bristles may shed slightly during the first few uses, this is normal.

Storage and Maintenance

To ensure long-term performance:

  • Store the device in a cool, dry environment.
  • Keep away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
  • Clean dust from the air intakes with a dry cloth.
  • Charge the battery every 2–3 months when unused.
  • Keep the device out of reach of children.

Avoid storing the ChalkBlaster inside chalk bags or humid spaces.

Usage with care

To ensure safe and enjoyable operation:

  • Do not cover the air intakes during use.
  • Do not operate the device while charging.
  • Allow the device to cool after extended use.
  • Only use USB-C PD chargers (5–20 V).
  • Do not insert fingers or foreign objects into the inlets or brush head.

Use the ChalkBlaster only for cleaning climbing holds.

Abnormal Conditions

Stop using the device immediately if:

  • The device becomes hot, swollen, or emits an unusual smell.
  • Airflow weakens suddenly or becomes inconsistent.
  • The LED flashes in abnormal patterns.
  • The device has been dropped or shows impact damage.
  • The battery appears cracked or deformed.

If any of the above occurs, disconnect the charger/turn-off and contact support.

Charging and Battery Care

To maintain battery health:

  • Charge using certified USB-C PD chargers only.
  • Do not leave the device charging unattended.
  • When the device is off, a single click shows battery level.
  • Store the battery partially charged (40–60%) for long periods.
  • Avoid fully depleting the battery

If the device becomes unusually warm while charging, unplug it immediately.

Disposal

When your ChalkBlaster reaches end-of-life:

  • Do not dispose of the device with household waste.
  • Follow local regulations for proper disposal of lithium-ion batteries.
  • Separate the replaceable brush head for recycling.
  • Dispose of electronics through appropriate collection systems.

Handling and disposal should follow WEEE and RoHS guidelines.
